ICE was musical unit formed by producer/guitarist Kazuyuki Miyauchi and singer Mayumi Kunioka. Followed by 2x45s released last year, here’s another heat from ICE! This 7inch includes 2 tracks from their 2007 album “Speak Low” which was released just 2 months before Miyauchi passed away from cancer. (May he rest in peace.)
A-side “Eyes Of Your Mind” is dazzling disco boogie track that should intrigue city pop fans as well. B-side “Blue Moon” is ridiculous jazzy modern soul heater for rare groovers. Both tracks were originally released on CD format only, and they are getting vinyl treatment for the first time, supervised by Tokyo Condition.

洗練されながらもエッジの効いた宮内のプロダクションと、独特のクールネスを纏った国岡の歌声で、J-POPシーンでも唯一無二の存在感を放っていたICE。彼らが2007年に自主レーベルからリリースした渾身のラスト・アルバム『Speak Low』に収録の「Eyes Of Your Mind」「Blue Moon」2曲が7インチで登場！眩いばかりの輝きを放つディスコ・ブギー「Eyes Of Your Mind」は今後の再評価待ったなしの決定的名曲。ストーミーな展開に圧倒される「Blue Moon」はレア・グルーヴ〜ジャズ・ファンクのリスナーも魅了するであろう強力ダンサー。“陽”のSIDE-Aと“陰”のSIDE-B、対照的な雰囲気をもつ2曲ながらも甲乙付け難い至高のダブルサイダーがここに完成。今回の7インチ化にあたり、DJ Notoya (Tokyo Condition)が企画・監修、8ronix (Bullpen lab.)がリマスタリングを担当。
